Call for Artists: A Groundbreaking VR/AR Art Exhibition

Are you an artist pushing the boundaries of digital and immersive media? We are excited to

announce an open Call for Artists for our upcoming VR/AR art exhibition. This is an opportunity

to showcase your work in a cutting-edge virtual and augmented reality space, reaching global

audiences and redefining how art is experienced.


About the Exhibition

This exhibition delves into the fascinating intersection of art, technology, and human

perception. Selected works will be showcased in a fully immersive digital environment, inviting

viewers to engage with art beyond traditional formats. Whether your expertise lies in fashion

design, fine arts, filmmaking, photography, video editing, interactive media, 3D modeling,

motion graphics, virtual and augmented reality, game design, architecture, or interior

design, we welcome you to submit your creations for consideration. Together, let's explore the

limitless possibilities of the Creative Arts and Media Industry.


Meet the Jurors

Our esteemed panel of jurors brings a wealth of experience from across the art, tech, and

digital media landscapes. These experts will evaluate submissions based on creativity,

innovation, and the ability to push the boundaries of immersive storytelling.


1. Amy Hibbs – Artist

Amy Hibbs is a talented artist based in San Jose whose deep fascination with plants has

blossomed into a multifaceted art practice. Through her work in drawing, photography,

printmaking, and social practice, she explores themes that promote healing for individuals,

communities, and ecosystems. Amy's art poignantly captures the dualities of joy and pain,

beauty and disgust, curiosity and indifference. She holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from

Mills College and has been recognized as a 2022 San Jose Creative Ambassador. Additionally,

she was awarded a California Arts Council Individual Artist Grant in 2023.


2. Briena Brown – Art Exhibition Co-lead / Artist

Briena Brown is a Bay Area native now based in Los Angeles. She has nurtured her passion for

art from a young age. Graduating cum laude from San Jose State University, she developed her

craft while actively championing social change. As a muralist for the Silicon Valley NAACP,

Briena has created over a dozen impactful artworks that amplify diverse voices. Among her

notable projects is the first-ever artistic collaboration between Santa Clara County and the


NAACP, the Black Lives Matter murals at Palo Alto City Hall, and community-centric murals in

San Jose's Gardena neighborhood.

Briena's work embodies her belief in the transformative power of art to inspire activism, unify

communities, and foster meaningful conversations about social issues.


3. Gabriela Myers – Artist

Gabriela Silva Myers-Lipton (b. 2001, San Jose, CA) is a Jewish, Latinx, lesbian artist residing in

San Francisco’s vibrant Mission District. Her work, rendered in acrylic paint, rhinestones, glitter,

and glue, explores humanity’s responses to profound existential questions—questions she

believes are best left unanswered. Gabriela earned a BFA from California College of the Arts in

2024 and has showcased her art at prestigious venues such as the DeYoung Museum, Uzay

Gallery, and PlaySpace Gallery in San Francisco, as well as The Hole and 440 Gallery in New

York City.


4. Geetika Rohra – Architectural Designer, LEED AP BD+C

Geetika Rohra is a distinguished curator and design strategist who excels at the nexus of art,

design, and architecture. Her expertise in spatial design and creative direction shapes her

meticulous approach to curation, emphasizing innovation, visual allure, and the overall

experience. Geetika's participation in international competitions and exhibitions underscores

her dedication to showcasing emerging trends and fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration.

She seamlessly blends artistic expression with functionality, ensuring that the selected works

deeply resonate with audiences.


5. Samuel Higgwe – Architecture Visualizer & VR/AR Curator

Samuel Higgwe is a curator and creative technologist specializing in immersive art experiences.

With a background in architecture and digital visualization, he explores the fusion of

architectural design with VR/AR spaces, curating exhibitions that push the boundaries of

virtual storytelling. Recognized for his work at ACADIA and Buildner, he has contributed to

groundbreaking digital exhibitions and interactive installations. His expertise in 3D modeling,

real-time rendering, and spatial storytelling ensures that his selected works push the

boundaries of immersive art.
