Join the HUEvolution

In a world that calls for unity louder than ever, we invite you to be part of an extraordinary event that celebrates both our shared journey and the visionary founder of AWỌ. As we stand at the crossroads of change, forging connections and embracing diversity have become essential for collective progress. Join us in honoring Folake, the driving force behind AWỌ, and celebrating the mosaic of humanity that enriches our communities.

Event Highlights:

Founder's Tribute Reception: Commemorate Folake's dedication to unity and inclusivity, and hear inspiring insights about her journey in shaping AWỌ. Network with other community members and supporters.

Organization Updates: Learn about AWỌ's recent accomplishments and ongoing initiatives that continue to rewrite narratives and bridge divides.

Afrocionado Party: Immerse yourself in the pulsating rhythms of Afrobeat music, as we dance the night away celebrating every shade that contributes to our vibrant community.

Your ticket serves as a valuable donation, contributing to AWỌ's mission. Funds raised will help expand our music and storytelling arts education program to Title 1 schools in Santa Clara County

Reception begins at 6:00 pm and the Afrocionado After Party begins at 7:30 pm.

Dress Code: Embrace your afrocentric style and celebrate every shade.

We hope that you will join us for a night of fun and fundraising! All proceeds from this event benefit AWỌ and allow us to continue our work in supporting public schools in Santa Clara County, Bay Area artists, and local communities.

There are many people with different shades of skin color, all with their own unique and often unheard stories. What would our neighborhoods, schools, workplaces or places of worship feel like if we embraced the stories of those different from ourselves?
